FAQ

We have tried to collect popular questions here. If you still have questions, contact our support team

Does AWS accept virtual cards for all regions?

Typically, you can connect a virtual card to your Amazon account and conduct payments smoothly. Yet, acceptance may vary depending on the region, billing country, and AWS’s internal verification checks. In some cases, AWS may request additional verification or prefer cards issued in specific regions. That’s why Finup offers multiple BIN options to maximize compatibility and reduce the risk of payment declines.

Can I auto-reload the card at a set threshold?

Yes! With Finup, you can set up auto-reloading using our API. Many teams apply VCC's integration directly into their internal systems to automate balance top-ups once a certain threshold is reached. This way, your unique card always has enough funds for billing without manual intervention. Plus, the API also allows you to automate card creation and monitor transactions in real time, which is perfect for scaling and keeping full control over your cloud expenses.

What if AWS tries to charge more than the card limit?

Finup’s virtual cards are built differently from traditional credit cards. You set the spending limit yourself, which protects you from unauthorized transactions or accidental overcharges. The default card’s limit from Finup is so high that AWS won’t ever hit the cap under normal usage. But even if AWS tries to charge more than the available funds, the payment will simply be declined.

Still, if you don’t pay for too long, AWS may suspend your services, restrict access to resources, block new deployments, or stop subscription renewals. You’ll receive billing alerts with a short window to update your payment options. If unresolved for too long, the debt may even go to collections.

Are multi-currency cards available?

Currently, Finup offers virtual cards in USD, but they support payments in any currency. Whether you're shopping on Amazon, paying for renewals, or handling international subscriptions, transactions are automatically converted at the current exchange rate. While Finup specializes in virtual solutions, you don’t need a physical card to enjoy full flexibility for global payments.
